Project

Develop wireframes for internally hosted websites for several operation groups.

Work with Ruby developers to design the user interface and experience for EMC's Innovation Road-map site.

Challenges

Designing for a multi-layer site with numerous pages.
Working with staff overseas over a 12 hour time difference.
Designing on new technology (JIVE CMS).

Solution

Create template site maps and content types as needed for consistency.
Develop detailed UI wireframes for engineering & development.

Process & Final Product

Site maps

Although each group will have their own internal site, they will generally share the same structure. I created a temple site map & content types that will be applied globally, but customization per group as needed.

Wireframes

I designed detailed interactive wireframes for testing usability and understanding functionality.

Branding

Following EMC's design guidelines, I designed a logo to reflect the Operational Readiness team's brand & unify the templates with similar enterprise applications.
