Cuvilly Earts & Art Center

Client

The Cuvilly Arts & Earth Center is a ministry of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and, as such, uses the Hallmarks of the Sr. of Notre Dame as a foundation for programs. Specifically Cuvilly is dedicated to modeling ecological sustainability through programs in education, agriculture and the arts. Cuvilly strives to create a space that respects all of creation in a ecological balance. All decisions are made with this guiding principle: All of life is sacred and the diversity of life is essential for the well being of the planet.

Project

Cuvilly needed a digital space where parents could easily access information about the school, various forms, get involved, as well as enroll their kids.

Challenges

  • No digital footprints
  • Inquiries about the school can only be done over the phone through emails.

Tools & Technology

  • Google Analytics
  • Adobe CC (Muse / Business Catalyst / Photoshop / Illustrator / Dreamweaver)
  • HTML / JavaScript / CSS

Solution

I built a user-friendly interactive website with simple, yet detailed information about the school, it's barn, programs, staff & mission. The website is supported by a very active Facebook page which provides a sense of community involvement beyond the boundaries of the barn.

Process & Final Product

Wireframes & Information Architecture

For a project of this size, layout and information hierarchy was not a great challenge. I compartmentalized information by Programs, Projects & Community engagement.

S.E.O

The Cuvilly Arts & Earth Center was already an established and known brand locally. I built on top of this by driving traffic to the new website initially through word to mouth, and later leveraging effective social media campaign.

Child friendly environment!

Visual design was a big aspect of the project. I emphasized on the unique qualities of the school through the use of interactive design, organic vector images and colors.
